When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems:
Your account details — name, email address, date of birth
All investment records you created — amounts, rates, maturity dates, notes
Your portfolio history and health score data
Your session and login history
Any social login links (Google) associated with your account
All preferences and settings
Your Razorpay subscription identifier stored in our database
Important: If you have an active PRO subscription, cancel it from your Profile page before deleting your account. Deleting the account removes it from RupeeTracker's systems but does not automatically cancel the Razorpay billing mandate — without cancelling first, Razorpay may continue billing until the subscription lapses. Contact us at support@rupeetracker.com if you need help cancelling.
What is retained temporarily
A small amount of anonymised data may be retained for a short period:
Server logs — anonymised access logs may be retained for up to 30 days for security purposes. These logs do not contain your investment data.
Email records — our email delivery provider (Resend) may retain delivery logs for up to 30 days. These contain only your email address and delivery status.
Razorpay transaction history — if you ever subscribed to PRO, Razorpay independently retains your payment records for the period required by RBI regulations (typically 7 years). These records are held by Razorpay, not by us, and are outside our control. Razorpay's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.
Cancelling your PRO subscription
If you only want to stop your PRO subscription — without deleting your account — you can do that separately:
Sign in to RupeeTracker
Go to your Profile page
Click "Cancel subscription"
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you keep PRO until then, and we do not bill you again. Your investment data continues to be retained per the rules below. If you also want to delete your account, cancel your subscription first, then proceed with account deletion above.
Investments after your PRO plan expires
This is the only situation where we delete your data without you explicitly asking us to:
If your PRO plan expires and you have more than 5 investments, only the first 5 you added remain visible to you in the app.
The other investments are held privately in our database for 60 days after your plan expiry date — invisible to you, never shared, and held only so they can be restored if you renew within that window.
After 60 days, our automated retention job permanently and irreversibly deletes the held investments. The first 5 remain.
You can prevent deletion at any time by renewing your PRO subscription before the 60-day window ends.
If you want everything removed sooner than 60 days, delete your account (above) — that removes everything immediately.
Google-connected accounts
If you signed up using Google Sign-In, deleting your RupeeTracker account removes all data we hold about you. It does not delete your Google account.
